The Sunset Lines

This section is dedicated to covering the history of the various lines and branches that the Aurora & Elgin either operated over or owned as well as covering the various facilities that were necessary for everyday operations such as yards, maintenance shops, and the towers that controlled important interlockings.

* Note: The CA&E never owned or operated over the Congress branch of the 'L'. Passenger service ended before the branch opened yet the history of the Congress branch and the Aurora & Elgin are intertwined making its inclusion here necessary.

This listing shows what is intended to be covered in the future. Some lines and branches have "basic profiles" available on them in order to provide some information up front. Eventually everything listed will be covered.
